Ann Ashburn - President & Chief Executive Officer
Ann Ashburn is President and Chief Executive Officer of AmeriDream. Ms. Ashburn brings more than 20 years of combined experience in the areas of non-profit management, strategic planning, financial services and political relations. Ms. Ashburn is an industry leader in housing policy and housing finance. She has testified before members of the House Financial Services Subcommittee on Housing and Community Opportunity regarding affordable housing; she was a featured speaker at AmeriDream's series of nationwide homeownership fairs; and she served as a panelist on the "Blueprint for the American Dream Roundtable" at the Mortgage Bankers Association of America's 90th Annual Convention and Expo. Ms. Ashburn has also served as the co-chair of the National Association of African Americans in Housing's Homeownership Taskforce.
Ms. Ashburn has received the designation of Accredited Mortgage Professional from the Mortgage Bankers Association. She studied journalism at Northern Virginia Community College and George Washington University; and she lives in quiet, quaint Waynesboro, PA with her husband and two children.
Robert Newman - Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer
Robert Newman is Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for AmeriDream. Mr. Newman has 20 years of senior management and leadership experience in the public, private and nonprofit sectors, including the areas of strategic planning, customer service, financial management, information technology, organization development, human resources, facilities management and grant management. He has also taught and implemented CQI/TQM processes in the healthcare community.
Mr. Newman holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Fordham University and a master's degree in business administration from Pace University. He has received recognition as an Accredited Mortgage Professional from the Mortgage Bankers Association. He has published two reports: A Matter of Money: The Cost and Financing of Youth Development and Foundations for the Future: Leadership Development for Young Men of Color, and he lives in Washington, DC with his wife and two daughters.
Carol Parker-Perez - Chief Financial Officer
Carol Parker-Perez is Chief Financial Officer of AmeriDream. She brings a great wealth of personal and professional experience in accounting and finance to the Executive Team. She has more than 15 years of accounting and human resource experience with extensive background in financial management; working with organizations in the public and private sectors, including for-profit and not-for-profit organizations and associations. Her professional experience and expertise span fixed asset management, project funding, investment income management, auditing, payroll administration, reporting, and compliance, grant writing, implementation, monitoring and reporting, and related accounting, human resource and financial management responsibilities. She holds a bachelor of science degree in accounting, management and technology from the University of Maryland University College in Maryland.
