With the legislation affecting FHA backed loans taking effect on October 1, 2008, AmeriDream is implementing an added measure to comply with the legislation ending down payment assistance on FHA loans.

AmeriDream will continue to service and fund down payment assistance applications received after the October 1st deadline provided that the file receives loan approval prior to October 1, 2008. To receive funding on a file after October 1st, AmeriDream will require confirmation that the loan is approved.

• Starting October 1st, at the time of application for down payment assistance on an FHA loan, lenders and brokers will be required to confirm that credit approval was issued for the buyers prior to October 1, 2008.

This procedure applies only to FHA loans requesting down payment assistance after October 1, 2008.
