First, let me say that i 100% support the dpa programs. I live and work in Jacksonville, Florida and i am the largest in-fill builder in this area, 95%+ of my homes are affordable housing, in which, they greatly depend on the dpa programs. Our local government has several dpa programs and what amazes me, is their programs are funded by our national government, which is funded by the tax payers, who include the same sellers and builders that participate in the ameridream and like programs. Basically, their dpa programs, which are still approved, uses the same money and yes includes many other tax payers, money but they run out of funding regularly, where the ameridream never runs out. Hopefully, adding regulatory guidelines will allow the ameridream and like programs to stay in place that will always have funds for all buyers instead of the local programs turning away buyers that will not achieve their dream of owning a home.
