AmeriDream Gives Aid to Victims of California Wild Fires

Gaithersburg, MD -- In response to the needs of victims who lost their homes as a result of the recent Southern California wild fires, AmeriDream, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing homeownership as the foundation for building strong communities and individual prosperity, announced today it has initiated a fund raising campaign to help people affected by the deadly wildfires that destroyed more than 2,000 homes last month.

“The fires are a tragedy that impacted homeowners, communities and the state,” said AmeriDream President Ann Ashburn. “Businesses and organizations in the public and private sectors need to step up and get involved.”

The organization’s goal is to raise $30,000 to aid families and communities affected by the fires. Throughout the month of November, AmeriDream will use its down payment assistance program to promote the campaign. For every new homeowner who receives a down payment assistance gift from AmeriDream during the month of November, AmeriDream will donate $10 to the relief efforts. AmeriDream’s down payment assistance program has helped over 200,000 lower income individuals and families become homeowners in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. Others can also make contributions by going to www.ameridream.org and clicking on “Donate Now.”
