GAITHERSBURG, MD (October 19, 2000) -- The AmeriDream Charity, Inc., is pleased to announce that on Thursday, October 19, it donated $10,000 to God's X-Gangsters - an organization aimed at helping troubled youth. The Chesapeake, Va., organization provides awareness and educational programs for at-risk-youth who are involved with gangs and want to change their lives. Enlisting the help of "fully recovered career criminals" - who work with gang organizations such as the East Coast Crypts, the Filipino Crypts, Folk Nation and the Latin Kings - the program helps young people break free from the negative forces in their lives.

Another element of the program provides faith ministry and testimonials that challenge participants to "step on up and out of the past." The program has seen success: Graduates have gone back to school, moved on to jobs, gotten involved with helping hand ministries, and gotten married. God's X-Gangsters have also helped similar ministries start their own urban outreach programs. This networking has helped expand God's X-Gangsters to include qualified volunteers who provide such services as legal advice, life-skills training, tutoring, job referrals, housing, transportation and other forms of professional help. Most importantly, interaction with the volunteer professionals provides participants with one-on-one contact with positive role models.

The visionaries behind The AmeriDream Charity, Inc., Chris Russell, CEO, and Ryan Hill, CFO, believe that supporting organizations like God's X-Gangsters and other community nonprofits is a great way to reclaim distressed neighborhoods. "These organizations provide important services that benefit the whole community because they reclaim and stabilize lives, which in turn helps stabilize communities," Russell said.

For several years, Chris and Ryan have both been engaged in various community activities aimed at helping youth. Some of their volunteer outreach includes the Boy Scouts of America, Toys for Tots, Muscular Dystrophy, and various other youth and social organizations. The AmeriDream Charity, Inc., provides downpayment assistance for low and moderate-income homebuyers. AmeriDream can provide up to 5% in downpayment gifts for qualifying people who wish to enroll in the program. The AmeriDream Charity, Inc.'s home office, located in Gaithersburg, Md., works with real estate agents, lenders, builder/sellers and buyers across the country. The organization has helped more than 5,000 individuals and families purchase homes.

The AmeriDream Charity, Inc. has recently expanded its services to include residential redevelopment, and it looks forward to partnering with the City of Gaithersburg on a number of projects. The Charity has also expanded its networking to include Alliance Partnerships with other non-profit and for-profit entities. The AmeriDream Charity, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) national public charity that accepts corporate as well as individual donations. All donations are tax deductible.
